I sooo welcome the lower humidity of SW Florida this mid-October. By the end of September, most of us that stay here year round are burned out by the sun, the heat and humidity. I love the feel of the sub-tropics, don’t get me wrong. And I actually like the feel of sweat on my forearm when I walk a few feet, across the street, to the mailbox. But by September, the air is thick and a lot of peeps be gettin’ sick ’cause the air just sits there…stagnant.
So, yes, I welcome the dips in the weather person’s numbers. My lungs are grateful, and I’m enjoying walks with my dog, my fluff muffin, Bella D (for Donna).
Meet Bella, soon to be a big girl 7. She’s been such a joy. She was a birthday present to myself one year, and she’s been gifting me daily with love and annoyances, but mostly love. You’ll be getting to know BD as she weaves her way into your heart.
Let me know how you celebrate the cooler weather, and who you fluff muffins are.
Bonfires and hayrides anyone?
