I’m apparently a peninsula kind of girl, since I’m from Michigan and I now live in Florida.
This time of year, when the humidity starts to finally back off a few percentages, the coolness of the air on the skin is a welcome relief.
But the Michigan girl in me, knows what’s happening in the north. Down deep in my very roots, I feel the changing of the leaves. I start longing for color; the rich, vibrant colors that feed the artist in me. My paintbrushes start quivering…it’s the knowing. It’s the glowing that comes from our northern sky, drives the desire to stir the paints. I thought it would faintly fade away over the years, but then I feel the coolness once again on my skin, and I know!!
